"I joined IBA because I felt that it aligned perfectly with my interests and passions. I have a desire for international business, and have had, for as long as I can remember, a heart for international students. Many of my most special relationships have been with those from other countries and cultures, and I wanted to be a part of something that is impactful and bigger than myself. I was also drawn to IBA for its networking opportunities, exposure to different cultural backgrounds and perspectives, and the chance for personal growth through meeting new people and learning about other cultures. My favorite thing about IBA is its commitment to welcoming international students with open arms, offering not only business connections but a home and lasting friendships during their stay here at Texas A&M. IBA has really opened my eyes to the world, especially by hearing firsthand experiences from students who studied abroad or are from outside the U.S. It’s also made me feel a lot more comfortable with the idea of going abroad, knowing I have a network of people to reach out to for advice and support.

My favorite experience so far has been connecting with international students. Last semester, I got super close with a girl from Japan, and we had a blast grabbing lunch and swapping culture stories. We still chat all the time! :)"
