OVERVIEW

We are a social and professional org, located at Mays Business school, open to all majors and class years, undergraduate and graduate.

Our Purpose:

  • Connect Foreign Exchange Students with Domestic Students

  • Promote studying abroad and broaden the global mindset of IBA members

  • Learn about international business and current international events

Meeting Structure:

  • Weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Wehner

  • Three week meeting rotation:

    • General Meetings - Cultural presentations from foreign exchange students, Study Abroad Presentations, learning about current events

    • Socials - Big Shots, Thanksgiving Potluck, Hurricane Harry’s, Ice Skating, etc.

    • Professional Meetings - Professional speakers come to share with us their experience working abroad

Buddy Program

  • Get paired with 1-2 international students who are doing an exchange here at Mays

  • Help them acclimate to campus and College Station - grab to lunch with them, invite them to campus events or games, answer any questions they have

  • Become their good friend and resource while they are here

  • Visit them if you ever go abroad!

Other Events and Activities

  • Intramurals: We host lots of intramurals teams such as Soccer, Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee, joining these teams is a great way to meet new people

  • City Trips: Help us show around and take the internationals on a city trip within Texas
